Heartworm Medication Year Round
Heartworm medication not only protects your dog from heartworms, but also from other harmful intestinal parasites such as whipworms, roundworms and hookworms.
Whipworms, roundworms and hookworms are parasites that can survive in the environment even during the cooler months. Each one of these parasites can cause many issues, including vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration or change in behavior. Some parasites can even be transmitted to humans through contact with feces.
Luckily almost all of the major heartworm preventatives also protect against hookworms, whipworms and roundworms.
So keep your dog protected year round from heartworms and all intestinal parasites. Year round use of heartworm preventatives is the best medicine to keep your pet happy and healthy.
